I cannot believe that I am one year into this mama-gig. When I think back to the past 12 months, I am amazed by how someone can get by with so little sleep. Fortunately, we live in a time with copious amounts of coffee and lots of baby products that make mama-life a little easier and keep our babies safer. With that said, the abundance of choices can sometimes make navigating through the products a little overwhelming. When I registered for my baby shower, I found myself extremely overwhelmed by options that I ended up with only five items on my list. I had no idea what I really needed, what was safe, and how products applied to real world experience versus marketing promises.
Apparently we are not alone in this. And that’s why my friends over at Hello Mamas created the Hello Mamas First look program. They feature amzing products from brands like Safety 1st, Maxi Cosi, Tiny Love, Cosco Kids and more! This program gives moms a stronger voice in the world of baby products. It’s a win win. Select mamas get to test out and review products based on their parenting stage, which in turn gives Safety 1st (and their sister brands) the feedback they need to ensure they are doing everything they can to make each and every product the best it can be.
I was fortunate enough to be asked by Hello Mamas to review a few items via the program and extend an exclusive invite for my friends to join the First Look Program. Bonus? This week, we are giving away two of the products I reviewed (scroll to the bottom of this post for entry details).
Here’s how the Hello Mamas First Look program works…
- Sign up to join the program (SUPER simple sign up)
- If you’re selected, Safety 1st will email when a product that fits your needs has been shipped, complete with links to leave the reviews
- You leave a review for the product on Safety1st.com (also SUPER simple) and get to keep the product…for free!
Smooth Ride Travel System
Apollo is now a little too big for the infant car seat that comes with the travel system but I wish we had it all along! The infant car-seat comes equipped with newborn inserts and head support for the initial first few weeks. I can tell that it would’ve been a lot more comfortable for him than the one we used. I was also very impressed with the sleek design.
I absolutely LOVE the stroller that came with the travel system. We received the one in black and it’s design gets an A from me. The seat adjusts positions for nap time when you’re on the go. It has just enough padding to keep baby comfortable without overheating. It also comes equipped with a tray for snacks and a spot for drinks. The basket under the stroller gives you plenty of room to hold a diaper bag, extra blankets, toys, and all the things little humans seem to need
I was also very impressed with how lightweight the stroller is and how smooth the ride is. It is also incredibly easy to set up and collapse. I travel with Apollo often so having a stroller than sets up and collapses with one hand is super important. The Smooth Ride stroller has an easy to use handle that you pull and the stroller folds up nice and easily.
Like it? We’re giving one away! See details below!
Ultra Max Air 360 4-1 Convertible Car Seat
Can I just say how thankful I am to Safety First for sending over the Ultra Max 360 4-1 Convertible Car Seat? It arrived just in time to make the switch from our old travel system car-seat that he’s outgrown into a convertible car seat. We’ve been using it for over a week now and Apollo has fallen asleep so easily in this seat during our car rides. Just by the looks of it, you can tell that Safety First had comfort in mind during the design process. But my absolute favorite feature about this car-seat is its safety feature. The Ultra Max Air 360 has been extensively tested from front, side, back, to even roll over impacts. The Air Protect® cushioning system was designed to provide immediate crash protection with a side impact management system. It has a steel reinforced frame which gives me peace of mind knowing my baby will be safely contained in the event of the unforeseen. He’s precious cargo!
The practical side of me also loves the fact that this seat will grow with Apollo rear facing up unti 50lbs then to forward facing up until 65lbs. Set up was a breeze. My husband unboxed it, read the instructions, and had it set up in our SUV in a matter of minutes. I like how the cushions on the shoulder straps provide both comfort and adds additional security when the baby is strapped in.
The cup holders on the seat is also an added bonus. We don’t use sippy cups in the car yet, but I can see how it will come in handy when he grows. Every time I see him in it, I can’t help but think he is in a little throne.
This is just a small sample of the types of products that are available through the Hello Mamas First Look Program! I hope you will join me and sign up for a chance to review products that fit into your lifestyle. While not all mamas will be selected, it’s certainly worth a shot.
And to celebrate this launch, two lucky mamas will go home with their choice of either the Safety 1st Travel System (above) or the Ultramax Air 360 4-in-1 convertible car seat!
