Thank you, WavHello for sending the SoundBub and sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that help make this site possible!
It’s no secret that my little one is not a very good sleeper. My Instagram page has documented it all too well. I’ve tried a lot of products that promise help lull babies to sleep, but there aren’t many that I would recommend. Until I was introduced to the WavHello Soundbub.
Meet the WavHello SoundBub Benjie the Bear
The WavHello Soundbub is a blue-tooth enabled speaker and soother. I am a big fan of multi-purpose products. It doubles as white noise for sleep time and acts as a speaker for play-time. The collection comes in three adorable chew-safe designs: Bella the Bunny, Ollie the Owl, and Benjie the Bear. We have Benjie at home and he and Apollo have been attached at the hip since his arrival into our home a month ago.
White Noise and Sleep
The SoundBub comes preloaded with two white noise tracks: Montana Rain and Malibu Beach. It plays and switches between the two options easily by clicking the “belly” (speaker) of Benjie. Studies show that some babies are able to fall asleep faster with white noise in the background. White noise blocks our household and other environmental noise. It also mimics the noise in the womb: blood flow & mama’s heartbeat which is comforting to newborns. I’ve used white noise for Apollo in the past, usually playing from my iPad or phone… but let’s be honest, mama needs her screentime during naptimes. The SoundBub can be programmed to play in 30, 60, 90 minute increments as well as all night until you turn it off or the battery needs to be recharged.
The Sound of Home on the Go
I love how small and portable the SoundBub is. It has a hook that allows you to attach it anywhere: crib, car seat, diaperbag, stroller, etc so your baby can have familiar sounds everywhere you go. The SoundBub connects to WavHello’s VoiceShare app. The app allows parents and loved ones to record messages, lullabies, and bedtime stories which are played through the speaker. So if grandma was babysitting, your little one can still have the familiarity of your voice during their bedtime routine. My husband and I will be leaving Apollo for a whole day with my parents in a few weeks for a wedding. I’m having fun compiling clips of all the silly sounds I make that my little guy likes to hear.
Dance and Play Anywhere
Aside from playing white noise and pre-recorded messages, the WavHello SoundBub also connects to any blue-tooth device to play your baby’s favorite songs. Apollo is obsessed with Bob Marley so “Three Little Birds” and “Is this Love” is always playing nearby everywhere he goes. When he’s had enough of his reggae fix, Bruno Mars is always next on deck.
I really think that this would be a perfect gift for both moms and babies alike. The SoundBub is pretty durably made, constructed to withstand most toddler tortures so your little one can enjoy it for years to come. It retails for $49.99 and you can learn more about the WavHello SoundBub on their site wavhello.
