Hey, friend. First of all, I would like to thank you for being here. 2017 was a helluva year for me; it began with the best news, followed by unfathomable heartbreak, lots of traveling, and the purchase of our second home. The rollercoaster my emotions experience derailed me from some goals I had set at the start of 2017. This mustered some major feelings of disappointment which prolonged the mild depression I experienced. So this year, it’ll be different. In 2018, I’ve set intentions VS resolutions.
Intentions VS Resolutions
Intentions differ from resolutions in a sense that they don’t attach us to expectations. Instead, they serve as a roadmap to where you wish to be. All while being as mindful, conscious, and aware in our day to day lives. With that said, they must come from the heart. They cannot be forced or attached to tangible types of goals; “get fit”, “make money”, etc. Intentions should be set with the purpose of bringing the mind and heart to alignment.
My Intentions for 2018
- allow myself to be more vulnerable
- make meditation an integral part of my days
- act with courage
- manifest happiness naturally
- make those around me feel good
- bring balance and space into my schedule
- forgive others and myself
- create time for people and passions that matter most to my soul
Now that I’ve identified my intentions, the next step is to release it into the universe. I do this by incorporating them into my morning routine. I dot it down on my bullet journal and speak it during my affirmations. I’ve come to believe that when we intend to set forth into the world our greatest selves, contribute positively to the planet and all of its inhabitants, the universe will will grant you your desires.
So today, I’ve set my intentions and will keep it in mind daily. And as life certainly evolves, so will my intentions along with them. This is why I’ve decided to set intentions vs resolutions.
What about you! What do you intend for 2018?
In 2018 I am…
